Take a look at the retrospective in a few key figures:
The Walloon Competitiveness Clusters play a central role in the transformation of Walloon industry.
By bringing together private industrial players (small, medium and large companies), universities, research and training centers as well as public authorities around a common objective, the Clusters provide Wallonia with more competitive economic added value in critical areas.
They support collaborative research, development and innovation (RDI) projects that generate growth and create jobs. They identify the key skills necessary for the deployment of innovation in each of the sectors and help their development. They implement targeted actions internationally. They are part of a policy of intelligent specialization at European level.
Together, the Competitiveness Poles affirm a common ambition: to further boost the growth of their respective sectors, to achieve growth in the added value of member companies of the Clusters: 50% above the average for the Walloon economy.
In this context, the Poles, in collaboration with AWEX, organized a virtual event in the presence of the Minister of the Economy Willy Borsus on June 2, 2021.
