Belgian economic mission to the United Kingdom

Within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the federal authority and the regions, a joint economic mission has been scheduled to take place in the United Kingdom from 8 to 12 May 2022 under the presidency of HRH Princess Astrid, Representative of His Majesty the King.

As you know, following the United Kingdom’s decision to leave the European Union, the new relationship was formalized last December in a new free trade treaty, which aims to preserve, as much as possible, the pre-existing links. It is in this spirit that Belgium and Wallonia are starting their future relationship with the United Kingdom, and the mission of the Prince in September will demonstrate our desire to maintain close commercial ties with our partners across the Channel.

This mission is organized by the Foreign Trade Agency, the regional foreign trade agencies (the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency, Hub Brussels and Flanders Investment & Trade) and the FPS Foreign Affairs.

During their stay, participants will have the opportunity to meet potential clients and partners during targeted meetings (B2B), organized by our Economic Advisors in the United Kingdom, but also to attend meetings and networking events of a more global scope.
