BioWin's Innovation Lab is back, launching alongside our next Open Call.

As part of its next Open Call, BioWin is launching a collective intelligence session on data in healthcare, a new edition of its Innovation Lab, centered on four high-impact areas:

  • AI in drug discovery
  • Twin transition
  • Telemonitoring
  • 4P medicine

This event will take place Thursday, May 22nd PM, at Business village Ecolys in Namur.

Programme

15:30 – 16:00 | Welcome & Coffee

16:00 – 16:30 | Plenary session

Public Service of Wallonia (Vinciane Grimard) – Presentation on the S3 strategy and its relevance to European innovation priorities.

BioWin (Thierry Ferain) – Presentation of strategic consortium models and funding mechanisms to support collaborative R&D, including interregional synergies.

16:40 – 18:30 | Breakout group setup & open innovation
In themed roundtables, participants co-create R&D project ideas, guided by a short expert pitch to spark discussion. Innovation takes shape through shared challenges and perspectives from researchers, developers, companies, academics, hospitals, and clusters.

The themes and experts include:

18:35 – 18:45 | Recap & closing words

18:45 – 19:30 | Networking
Informal networking to continue discussions and identify next steps for potential project partnerships.

The BioWin Innovation Lab is a chance to connect with the most influential actors in the health ecosystem and co-create the next innovative projects in the field. The selected topics align with all IIS of the DIS2, and representatives from ATMP Wal, MedTech Wallonia, MedReSyst, and the S3 representatives will be present.
