
Innovation Lab - Driving innovation around data in healthcare

BioWin's Innovation Lab is back, launching alongside our next Open Call.
As part of its next Open Call, BioWin is launching a collective intelligence session on data in healthcare, a new edition of its Innovation Lab, centered on four high-impact areas:
- AI in drug discovery
- Twin transition
- Telemonitoring
- 4P medicine
This event will take place Thursday, May 22nd PM, at Business village Ecolys in Namur.

15:30 – 16:00 | Welcome & Coffee
16:00 – 16:30 | Plenary session
Public Service of Wallonia (Vinciane Grimard) – Presentation on the S3 strategy and its relevance to European innovation priorities.
BioWin (Thierry Ferain) – Presentation of strategic consortium models and funding mechanisms to support collaborative R&D, including interregional synergies.
16:40 – 18:30 | Breakout group setup & open innovation
In themed roundtables, participants co-create R&D project ideas, guided by a short expert pitch to spark discussion. Innovation takes shape through shared challenges and perspectives from researchers, developers, companies, academics, hospitals, and clusters.

Informal networking to continue discussions and identify next steps for potential project partnerships.
The BioWin Innovation Lab is a chance to connect with the most influential actors in the health ecosystem and co-create the next innovative projects in the field. The selected topics align with all IIS of the DIS2, and representatives from ATMP Wal, MedTech Wallonia, MedReSyst, and the S3 representatives will be present.
Who should attend?
This free session, held in English, is open to BioWin member organisations involved in health innovation. Researchers, developers, and innovation leaders are invited to apply. Participation is subject to selection, with priority given to professionals from research centres, pharma companies, SMEs, universities, and hospitals.
