The growing demand for radiopharmaceuticals, both for diagnosis and therapy, is intensifying the needs of nuclear medicine. Against this backdrop, the IITP project is seeking to develop innovative methods for producing high-quality solid targets for use in the manufacture of medical radioisotopes. This 4-year project, led by four partners (IBA, ICS, UNamur and UMons), will have a significant impact on the Walloon economy. As well as improving radioisotope production, it will open up prospects in areas such as optoelectronics and thermal protection, while generating employment and investment.
Project co-led by the MecaTech and BioWin clusters.
