This report is a reflection of the innovative and inspiring spirit of businesses and industries in Wallonia, Belgium, working daily for the benefit of patients.
Despite the economic challenges of 2023, our community remained resilient and innovative. The number of projects submitted to BioWin stayed strong, showcasing our collective creativity and determination. It is a privilege to work within such a high-performing ecosystem.
Looking ahead to 2024, we’re excited to strengthen our connections with Flanders through a joint action plan with MEDVIA, aiming to make Belgium as the ‘Health and Biotech Valley of the future’. We’ll also focus on forming new transformative public-private partnerships, leveraging the insights from the ATMP-PIT project, and developing our revenue model by offering new services to support our members. We look foward to continuing this journey together.
A special thank you to our community of more than 260 members for their dedication in accelerating innovation, developing the knowledge, and fostering employment to meet tomorrow’s public health challenges. Thank you as well to all our partners for their important support.
